Todd: James "Bompa" "Jim" "Uncle Jim" Marshall Passed away peacefully in his 82nd year at Southlake Regional Health Centre on Saturday December 28th, 2013 with his family by his side. The family would like to thank the staff at both Southlake and Soldiers Memorial Hospital for the wonderful care he received while with them. Much-loved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and partner, Jim is pre-deceased by his mother Gladys, father John, and stepfather Bill. He is survived by his children Linda, Judy, Jimmy and wife Terri, Sandra and husband Jim, David and his wife Julie, Cindy and husband Michael, their mother Shirley, and his dear friend Maureen. Cherished grandfather to Kara (Matt), Danielle, Shannon (Wade), Kyle, Nico, Travis, Leah, Jordan, Lydia, Ryan and Joel. Dear friend to almost anyone and everyone he met (and if you're wondering, yes, that does mean you). Jim knew how to celebrate life and he never turned down an adventure. Always young at heart, he was an incorrigible flirt and charmer. He loved his motorcycles and could restore a car, or build a house from the basement up including the plumbing and wiring. A natural comedian whose irreverent humor was enjoyed by all, to his family he will be remembered not only as the fun dad, but the very best dad in the world. He showed us all by his example how to live life to the fullest. His was a life well lived. "How do you like me so far?"~ Jim Todd As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Jim's life will take place in late spring 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
