Obituary of Wilfred Longhurst

Longhurst: Wilfred Gordon James (Jim) (Member of the Twin Lake Cruisers and the Back Ally Cruisers) Peacefully, at his home in Orillia with family at his side on January 16th, 2014 in his 58th year. Jim Longhurst beloved husband of Gayle Longhurst (nee Annis). Loving father of Melissa Hodges (Mike) of Medicine Hat, AB., Cindy Longhurst (Dom) of Lethbridge AB. and Tara Longhurst (Chad) of Lethbridge AB. Dear grandfather of Austin, Colton, Jasper, Zander, Paul (predeceased), Samantha, Daniel, Mason, Chloe and Storm. Also remembered by Gayle's family Brad Dunkley (Sara) of Toronto and Rene Dunkley (Jen) of Timmins. Step grandfather of Graham, Ross, Martin, Ben, Jacob and Joe. Dear brother of Linda (Ken Coulson) of Milford Bay, Joy (Buck Patterson) of Milford Bay, Mitzi (Sal Gentile) of Red Deer AB., Gary Graham (Jenny) of Orillia and the late Rickey Nicholls. Son of the late Ray and Thelma Graham. Dear son-in law of Elva and the late Lloyd Annis. Remembered by his extended family- Gwenda Forrest, Charlene Neely, Barry Stiles, John Riley, Ben Galley, John Bull and his many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home- 38 James Street E. Orillia on Sunday January 19th from 1 to 4 p.m. Tributes remembering Jim's life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Memorial donations to the Simcoe- Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre, Rotary House-Barrie or the Orillia OSPCA would be appreciated.
