Obituary of Thomas Scoular

Scoular: Thomas June 4th, 1937 ~ March 15th, 2014 Passed away peacefully and mercifully at his home with his family on Saturday March 15th, 2014. Beloved husband and soulmate to the late Joyce Scoular of 53 years. Loving father of Stephen Scoular, Jo~Ann Scoular and her partner Matthew Hardy. Extremely proud grandfather of Kolby and Jackson. Will be fondly remembered by his many friends, former co-workers and relatives in Scotland. Tom was a decorated soldier in the British Army, an avid sportsman, champion boxer, weightlifter, diver, gymnast and motorcylce racer. Tom was vice president of Birla Ind. And general manager of Redlaw Ind/Otaco in Orillia for over twenty years. Dedicated volunteer, soccer coach, life long legion member, Legion Crest board of directors, Scottish festival and fundraiser for various charities. Dad's presence will be sorely missed by our entire community in Orillia. A Memorial Service will be held at Simcoe Funeral Home 38 James Street E. Orillia on Saturday March 22nd, 2014 at 3 p.m. Friends and all who fondly remember Tom are welcome and invited. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Tom's life will be arranged at a later date. If desired memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated.
