Obituary of Leslie Furs

Furs, Leslie In his 72nd year, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, March 18th, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. Dear son of the late William David Furs and Margaret Ida (nee Howell). Beloved husband of Connie Furs (nee Thrift) of RR#2 Orillia. Dearly loved father of Debbie Pattenden (Tony), Deanna Brooks (Jim), and Dana Beemer (Don). Proud Papa of Delena, Chris, Tiffany, Danielle, and Davon. Brother of Darlene Mattie; brother in-law of Gloria Cleaveley (Tom) and the late Edith Cleaveley (Matt). Dear nephew of Elsie Howell, and special cousin of Mel Howell, and Larry Howell. Les will be sadly missed by many cousins, nieces nephews, and friends. Also by his special friends Wayne and Lorelle Lyle, and Cathy and Alf Snider, the family wish to thank you for your continuous support. A special thank you to Dr. Grant Ho, Paula Smith and Barb Bissonette, the nurses and staff at the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Stronach Regional Cancer Centre, Newmarket, and Tammy and Frank Ostertag for their compassionate care. Cremation has taken place. Interment of ashes will take place in the spring at St. Andrew's~St. James' Cemetery, Orillia.
