Obituary of Ernest Thompson

Thompson, Ernest Henry "Ernie" Passed away peacefully at Spencer House, Orillia on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Isabelle. Loving father of Mike Thompson, and Terri Black (David); stepdad to Chris Priess, Lori Priess, Kathy Priess. Proud grandfather of Nikki Thompson, Michael Black, and Mackenzie Black. Dear brother of Mel Thompson, Shirley Giff (Jerry), Bill VanValkenberg (Sharon). Predeceased by Val McDonald, and Edna King. Ernie will be sorely missed by his furry companion Mocha. The family wish to express a sincere thank you to the staff at Spencer House for their support and compassionate care during Ernie's stay. Friends may visit at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E. Orillia on Saturday, July 12th 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until time of Memorial Tributes at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow.
