On the day that this picture was taken, for June's birthday, I had the fortune of getting to sit down and visit with my Uncle Jim. I was impressed by how carefully Jim listened to what I had to say, and how he seemed to be able to ask the most detailed questions. Questions that showed how attentive and interested he was. This may seem like a small thing, but in this day and age, it seems like something that really stands out. This helped me realize the importance and power of truly listening to someone so that we can better understand them and help them if possible.
This was what I viewed to be one of Jim's many strengths and talents, and I will endeavor to learn from Jim in this capacity and carry this forward. Traits that I can see he has already passed along to his children.
This is one of many ways that Jim will continue to live on through all of us for many years to come.
