Obituary of Maureen Baker

Baker: Maureen (nee Fallon) July 15th, 1952- November 29th, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maureen at the age of 61 at the Soldiers' Memorial Hospital in Orillia. Maureen was predeceased by her parents Dominic and Evelyn Fallon and grandma Irene Fallon. Best sister ever and brother-in-law to Anne (Bob), fun-loving aunt to Holly and Chad. Niece to Don Keenleyside (Anna), Joyce and Mike Fallon, Sister Anne Fallon, and Theresa (George) Walton and predeceased by Aunt Helen Fallon. Cousin to Laura, David, Tim, Joann, Jennifer, Michael and Jane. Maureen enjoyed working for the Ontario Provincial Police most recently at their headquarters in Orillia. Maureen had much respect for Inspector Rob Longstreet and the O.P.P. Association. They have gone above and beyond for their colleague/friend, Maureen. We will be forever grateful to Maureen's wonderful friend/guardian angel in Orillia, Cathie Beacock and her sons especially during her last two months of hospitalization. Many thanks goes out to David Isaac of Simcoe Funeral Home in Orillia. Orillia was Maureen's home away from home. Moe enjoyed euchre, concerts, cheering for the Leafs and the Blue Jays. Maureen will also be missed by her extended family members Willa, Allison, Sandi, Sadie and Lucas, Kingston friends Barbara (Murphy) Holland, Sue Armstrong (Bob) and Pat Treneer (Paul). Thank-you to Maureen's ICU Nurses Cindy, Pollyann. Tamara and Linda and Dr. Mark Bailey for their compassion. A celebration of Maureen's life will be held at Kelseys Restaurant 405 Memorial Avenue Orillia on Saturday September 27th, from 12 noon until 3:30 p.m. Memorial donations to the U.K.H.F.
