Obituary of Edna Johnston

Johnston: Edna 1920-2014 After living a long healthy life it is with sadness we announce the passing of our beloved "GG". Loving mother of daughter Sue (Chuck) Gallagher and son Doug (Eileen) Johnston. She will be greatly missed by grandchildren Mike (Shirl) Gallagher, Jeff (Shari) Johnston and Dave (Becky) Johnston. Adored great grandmother of Matt Gallagher, Claire Gallagher, Lauren Johnston and Ember Johnston. Loving sister of Doris Hurst and remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband Stan, sisters Grace, Rene, Evelyn and friend Marion Dempsey. Fondly remembered by dear friend Shirley Smith. Edna was very proud of her family and one of her greatest joys was sharing their lives as they grew. The family extends a sincere thank you to the compassionate and truly dedicated staff at Victoria House. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
