James Mercer (a.k.a. Uncle Jim) was a great Uncle who along with his wife, my Aunt Eunice, always welcomed me and the rest of the family into their home. We had many years of enjoyment together which usually included great meals, much fun, great discussions and a devotional to point back to our Lord and Saviour. I greatly admired how Uncle Jim took care of my Aunt Eunice (his wife) for many years as she declined in health with a terrible degenerative disease. He was a wonderful example to us all. My family will miss him but hold many fond memories. Love, Ken & Karen Stringer

Jimmy was a faithful friend and a man dedicated to the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He served his country in World War 2 and participated in ministries in Orillia like the Orillia Ministerial Association, Gideons & the Orillia City Mission. His great joy was to preach and share his faith to all who would listen. We honor his memory and his faithful service to God. We miss you Jimmy. Thank you for being such a good friend.
