Obituary of Peter Muehlegg

Muehlegg, Peter We are heartbroken at the sudden passing of Peter on Saturday March 7, 2015, at the age of 49. Loving husband of Marilyn (Cunningham), very proud father of Kyle and Danielle, and loving brother to Carol (Ken). He was close with his mother-in law, Denise and predeceased by his mentor, Herb Cunningham, in 2005. Peter's 36-year aviation career began with washing airplanes at Markham Airport at the age of 13, then working for Toronto Airways at Buttonville. Later, he opened his successful aircraft upholstery business, Trim Air, in Beaverton. For the last 21 years, Peter owned and operated Skywagon City, his successful aviation parts business, just north of Brechin. Peter was passionate in his role as a Lieutenant in the 99 Lynx Air Cadets Squadron of Orillia. He was also active with New Mercy Ministries having gone on numerous trips to Haiti where he flew missions helping the victims of the 2010 earthquake. He loved spending time with his nieces, nephews and his sister, brother-in laws and sisters in laws as well as his extended family in Hanover, Manfred and Lucy and their families. He also left behind two animals he loved - his dog, Casey, and his barn cat, Finnegan. Peter spent many good times on various flying/fishing trips and at his outpost camp on Victoria Lake. He also travelled extensively on scuba-diving adventures. Peter will be sadly missed by his friends, family and business associates. A Celebration of Peter's life will be held at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church Leaskdale, 12251 Regional Rd #1, Uxbridge, on Saturday March 21st, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. If desired, donations can be made to 99 Lynx Air Cadets Squadron and the New Mercy Ministries through the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E Orillia ON.
