Obituary of James Metherall

Metherall, James Edward 'Jim' WWII Veteran Peacefully at home on Friday April 17th, 2015 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Cynthia Metherall. Loved father of Vivien Haines (Bruce) of Holland Landing, Philip (Charliene) of Alliston, Edward (Denise) of Nipissing, Gail O'Neill (Jim) of Orillia, Sandra Dunlop (Peter) of Barrie and pre-deceased by Glenn. Loving grandfather of twelve grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Dear brother of Anne Hack (Don) of Orillia and Walter (Judy) of Keswick. Dear brother-in law of Lois Taylor of Bournemouth, England and Rita (John Dyos) of Australia. Services under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 34 Orillia will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home- 38 James Street East Orillia on Saturday April 25th, at 1 p.m. A Service to celebrate Jim's life will be held immediately after. A reception and time of visitation will follow. As an expression of sympathy memorial donation may be made to Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital Oncology Unit.
