I am deeply saddened by the news of Gary's passing.
I'm so sorry for the late condolence but I just found out.
If anyone in the family could please contact me it would be greatly appreciated.
Again I'm so so sorry for your lose Gary was a great man and a dear friend of mine I will miss him so!!!!

Met Gary on pof, & we dated for quite awhile. I wanted more, but just couldn't break through the wall, he set up to his heart. We saw many shows at casino Rama, had some nice evenings by the fire, loved midnight his cat, & loved him to. Came to my place for supper, in June, said he was going back to cottage, but never heard from him, now I know why. I was so to hear he past away, shocked, saddened, I'll never be able to sit & have a beer with my friend. I miss him dearly. <3

Gary you will be missed so much by so many people. Your smile, humour, wit and gentleness. I have known you since I was a little girl, through my Brother to begin with, but as I grew older I got the privilege to know you on an adult level. There were many hours of enjoyment at your home, in the backyard or basement. Mom Helen often joining us. You had the nickname of Last Call for Alcohol at Izik's, located at the Finchurst plaza, usually arriving in time just for a beer or two. I have so many fond memories. I was shocked and saddened to hear the news. Gary and I go way back, he was my brother Lyle's best friend. I have known him for over 50 years. He was always like another brother to me when I was growing up in Toronto.He always had to remind me of how he use to chase me around my basement when I was wearing my mini skirt and go-go boots. (I was about 7 or 8 years old at the time but will never forget.) He traveled Many miles over the years but eventually came back to his home ground. His place on the Green river spoke volumes about the person he truly was. He will be greatly missed. On behalf of Lyle, Jan, Kate and myself Rest in peace my Brother XO XO

I was so saddened to hear the news . Gary was a gem - a one of a kind - authentic gem. From the after bar rides in his motorized paddleboat to hear the "bullfrog symphony" to many campfire karaoke at the Sevy. I was always amazed at his interior design of all his wonderful rock memories - framed tickets , by the hundreds that we framed all alround his cabin. He was so proud when Albert would drive the tourboat past and see his 'surfing santa' and lights. Gary was a true nature lover and many times would let the racoon and her babies come in for some good eats. He was genuine. A character so hard to find these days. My best memory was when my dog Harley was expecting her litter anyday, Gary would pull up on the boat just to bring her natural homemade sanacks. God just got one amazing angel. Rest in peace my friend. I will go to the green and light a candle for you my friend. R.I.P xo

I have known Gary since Grade 7. We have had a great long memorable journey as friends. Gary always had a whimsical sense to him, and this depicted around his property surrounded with all sorts of interesting things he placed. At night he would put on Christmas and lawn lights surrounding his property giving it that twinkle magical feeling. He had a fantastic collection of cool bottles, artifacts, antiques, and loads of records! Music never stopped even in the bathroom!! He loved to dress up in theme. With top hats, to Santa, to Lucky charm dude. All sorts of sunglasses, and outfits. He was so entertaining. Gary was the most kind, gentle caring person to everyone! A Earth Angel indeed! I am so blessed and grateful to have known him. It will be very hard not to walk the golden days now without him. My condolences to his family. May you find peace in your hearts knowing someone so special that you share life with. Where ever you are my dear friend I do hope your at peace. It was a shock and deep sadness that I experienced when I learned of Gary's sudden passing. He was a great friend and I truly thought of him as my 'big brother'. During my years living in Washago as the owner of Little Falls Cottages, he was such a great help to me and we all had such wonderful fun with him. Gary taught me how to handle my boat, kept me supplied with firewood and was a great entertainer to all my cottage guests. Rest in peace Gary and you will always have a special place in my heart!! To Bruce and all your family, my sincerest condolences and may God give us all the strength to understand this. May we all be together again some day around a great campfire.
