Obituary of Kenneth Brunson

Brunson: Kenneth Claude May 21, 1928 - Nov 8, 2015 Born in Cooper's Falls in 1928 to Will and Flo Brunson, Ken developed an early and strong love for the outdoors. After marrying the love of his life, Betty (Cronk), Ken built the family home at Lake St. George and began working at the Huronia Regional Centre. Ken was a volunteer firefighter for many years and an active member of the community at Lake St. George. After raising their five children, Ken and Betty moved back to Coopers Falls where Ken was able to spend much of his time out on the Morrison Rocks. Ken was known for many things. He was man of great strength and a man of few words; he was a canoeist, a hunter and a trapper; a player of solitaire; a much loved storyteller, and a good listener; a master woodsman and a builder of houses. Most importantly, he was a husband, a father, a grandfather, a great grandfather and a friend. He will be greatly missed and always remembered by all oh his friends and family both at home and in Gowganda. There will be no service. The family wishes to thank the staff at Spencer House for the excellent care Ken received there. Messages of condolence are welcomed at www.simcoefuneralhome.ca
