Purdy: Glenn Elton

Peacefully at home with family at his side on Wednesday February 1st, 2012 in his 56th, year. Glenn Purdy of Cumberland Beach much loved husband of Dianne Purdy (nee Hisey) of 29 years. Loving father of Kyle Purdy. Loving son of Joyce and the late Al Purdy of Barrie. Dear brother of David and his wife Patricia of Bailieboro. Dear son-in law of Marion and the late Grant Hisey of Brechin. Loving brother-in law of Paul Hisey and his wife Karen of Oro, Gail and her husband Robert Firth of Orillia, Glen Hisey and his wife Jean of Alton, Gary Hisey and his wife Shelley of Uptergrove and Lori Ann and her husband Mark Ford of Nottawa. Glenn is remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Glenn was a member of the Washago Lions Club and The Camp Smasher Hunting Camp. He worked as a courier for Purolator for twenty-eight years.

Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home- 38 James Street E. Orillia on Friday February 3rd, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Service of remembrance to celebrate Glenn's life will be held in the chapel on Saturday February 4th, at 1 p.m. Memorial donations to the Washago Lions Club would be appreciated by the family.
