Lisa, Our hearts go out to you and your families at this difficult time. I was looking on line today at the pictures and your personal message. I can tell, the two of you were very much a happy couple. I can also tell there is a lot of happiness and love. Although shorter than we wanted, keep in mind, what the two of you share is likely more than most people could experience in a lifetime. Your in our thoughts. Darren and Kira

My memories of Jimmy are mostly from a childhood that seems too long ago today, but they are filled with that smile. And he is responsible for providing me and my family with a wonderful gift - a trip that was nearly put off because we were too worried about what might come tomorrow to take advantage of an opportunity to create a memory today. Jimmy's illness made us realize that life is too precious and far too short to not make the most out of each day. For that and for the unwavering love and support his family and friends gave to him, I am grateful. My deepest condolences to everyone touched by this loss. You are in our prayers. Lisa, Rick, Madeleine & Michael Denis

Lisa, *I thought you might like this.... “You can shed tears that he is gone, or you can smile because he has lived. You can close your eyes and pray that he'll come back, or you can open your eyes and see all he's left. Your heart can be empty because you can't see him, or you can be full of the love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember him only that he is gone, or you can cherish his memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back. Or you can do what he'd want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.” ...and in Jim's case go fishing.

Lisa, we are truly sorry for your loss. It is a rare occasion that a person finds their true sole mate and you found that in Jim. His life was cut short, but the memories you shared with him you will have forever. I know I speak on behalf of my entire family in saying that we were so lucky to have known him. He was loved very much and will be missed. Love always, Auntie Lynn, Uncle Dave, Tonya and Matt

Lisa, My heart breaks for you. Jim was a terrific guy (but you know that already) and he was so in love with you (and that you know too); his memory will carry you farther than you can ever imagine .... it will fill lonely times, make sad times happy, some happy times sad and still bring the laughter and joy that you always shared. My deepest sympathies. Doreen Cain

Oh Jim...
We loved each other so deeply - there's just no words. We had a brief but beautiful life together, and I understand now that you taught me how to live. You taught me to appreciate the simple things, the things that truly matter, and that this is the only way to be truly happy and content. To be kind compassionate and generous, and above all to be loving and make every day count. We shared a simple life full of family and countless friends, canoe trips, sunrises and sunsets, long walks in the woods, fierce passion, political debate, music, star gazing with esoteric and quantum conversation, good food, and of course... fishing. I told you the day we married that you were the man of my dreams and we vowed to always put each other first. Not perfect, a few small bumps along the way, but we did it right. I think your courage and acceptance of whatever may come will give me strength now. I made a promise to you, and I won't let you down. You'll soon be at Horseshoe Lake, and I can already imagine you there at sunrise with the mist rising to the call of the loons. Peace to you my love

To say Jim was my Son in Law is not enough. Jim was a great young man that happened to be Married to our Daughter, and we thank him so much for that.He brought the sparkle in her eye and a laugh to her heart. They were True parteners in Love. Jim was told many times before and after illness that we (Diane and I) loved him and that we were so happy Lisa had him in her life. Jim had a heart that brought his friends become friends with others that will last forever. God Bless You Jim as you have Blessed us for Loving You. Happy Fishing Dave and Diane
