Dear Lesley, I know how strong and brave you have been for your Mom and I know how very proud she is of you. You got your strength and both inner and outer beauty from her. She was a woman who touched many hearts with her free spirit and love of life. I was one of the fortunate ones that grew to love your Mom and all the wonderful qualities she shared with me over the last 30 plus years. Verna always opened up her heart and home to all of us. No matter what, she stood by you and supported all the crazy ideas we came to her with . When we said at 17 we wanted to go to Jamaica she helped make it happen. When we told her we wanted to go travel Europe for a year she was the first to say GO and have fun! Lesley, I know Verna was your best friend for so many obvious reasons. You shared a bond that not many daughters can with their Moms. I am so proud to have known and loved Verna for so many years and I am so grateful to have you as my forever - no matter what - friend! I am sorry I can't be there for you right now but please know my thoughts and prayers are with you now and always.
