I was one lucky little lady that got to spend a lot of my childhood in the Garrod house. I always felt like I belonged there! Uncle Bob loved taking us on his pigeon release trips, even though I would cry every time worrying that they would not come back-and guess what? Every time they did!
Uncle Bob taught me how to take care of plants and gardens, the importance of drinking hot water with lemon every morning and to never stop dancing at family functions! I can still here his voice and his wonderful laugh. The world is a better place for having Bob here and I will miss my Uncle Bob dearly.

Barb and I remember Bob from a few years ago while he and Janet were visiting Carole and Janni in Santiago, Mexico. Bob was a very warm, gentle man who made everyone he came in contact with feel valued. We remember that he loved long, long walks on the beach and also through the community. He was welcoming to all and had a great sense of humour. Janet, our sincere condolences to you and your family. You will have many great memories of a kind, decent man.

My sincere sympathy in your sorrow. For over twenty years now I've been welcome at the Garrod family celebrations and holiday dinners. Never did I feel out of place. Bob's sense of humour always stood out. He was a remarkable man and will be sooo missed. His memory will be living in your hearts for many years to come.
