Obituary of Marlene Anne Payne

Payne: Marlene Anne (Molly) It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marlene or Molly, as she was affectionately known be her family on Monday February 29th, 2016 in her 77th year. She was predeceased by her beloved parents Ed and Betty Lacroix. She is survived by her faithful, loving husband Robert. Those of you who have known her will remember her as a hardworking woman dedicated to providing the best possible home for her family sometimes under difficult circumstances, but always with abiding love for her son Rick and her daughter Lisa. She is also survived by her only brother Wayne and his wife Janet of North Bay. Marlene was especially proud of her niece Stacey and nephews Andrew and Corby; and their mother Patricia Lacroix whose friendship she cherished. One of her greatest joys came in the form of her two grandsons Jason and Blake and more recently a beautiful great granddaughter Leighton. Marlene is lovingly remembered by Robert’s children Peggy, Robert and Kelly Payne and granddaughters Charlie, Kylee and Kenzie and grandsons Ryerson, Sawyer, Hudson, Jamie and Tyson. Marlene is also remembered by all her bingo buddies. Many thanks to Dr. Peter Deimling, Dr. Chris Chan, Dr. Greg Armstrong, Respiratory Services and all the wonderful nurses that cared for Marlene (Molly) in her time of need. As per Marlene’s wishes there will be no funeral services. Cremation has taken place and her ashes will be interred at St. Michael’s Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date and could possibly involve some card playing as she absolutely adored each and every one of you that she played with and would truly love nothing better than to be remembered by you all. She also asked that if anyone would like to, please do a small act of kindness for someone who may be lonely and in need of company and also give things for kids and please don’t forget our furry friends. .
