Obituary of Gordon Claude Gibson

GIBSON, Gordon Claude Passed away peacefully at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital on Saturday March 19th, 2016 in his 86th year. Gordon Gibson of Washago, much loved husband of Merle Gibson (nee Kavanaugh) of 64 years. Loving father of Sharon Pringle (Terry), Barbara Tudhope (Steven), Lloyd Gibson and Lynn Gibson. Loving grandfather of Brad, Tyler, Katie, Laura and Kirsten and great grandfather of Johnathan, Callie and Dean. Dear brother of Norris Gibson, Islay Heidman, Jean Holmes and Margaret Whiting. A private family interment will take place at St. Andrew’s – St. James Cemetery. The family will honor his life at a memorial gathering which will be held at Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E., Orillia on Wednesday March 23, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, a memorial donation may be made to the Orillia Solders’ Memorial Hospital or to a charity of your choice.
