Silk, Douglas Andrew June 20th, 1947-May 26 2016. Severn, Ontario “Doug Silk Haulage” Beloved and devoted husband of 34 years to Norma Silk. Loving father of Michelle Williams and Jennifer (Shay) Robinson. Dearly loved son of Murray Silk and the late Irene Silk. Beloved and cherished brother of Dave (Mary) Silk. Lovingly remembered by grand-daughters Chantrey and Chloe Williams, Shayla Robinson and nephews Aaron and Andrew Silk. Loving son in law of Violet Bagg. Loving and cherished friend and cousin of Gloria and Paul Carmichael. Cherished friend of Ernie and Marie Watters, Bill and Linda Hannath, Marny Shelswell, Paul and Kelly Balkwill and Glen Crichton. Survived by aunts and uncles Laurie (Valerie) Silk, George (Marilyn) Silk, Wilfred (Helen) Silk, Aulden Silk, and Donna (Bob) Balkwill. Predeceased by Lottie (Ray) Burke and Muriel Silk. Fondly remembered by John Hepburn, Karen McGaw, Irene Bishop, Don Ferris, Maureen Doolittle, Jerry Walters, Rick Telford, Steve Tiffin, Christina Watts, Rick Carr, Jack and Faye Watters, Dave Tiffin, Ron Campbell , Leonard Petherick, Bob Noble, Floyd McGregor, Dan Coon, Ed Nichol, Dale McKean, Jack Gould, Bradd and Heather Oschefski, Leena Kaleva (K and S Windsor Salt Co.), J.F. Kitching and Son Ltd. (Queensville), Ron McGee (Simcoe Block), Larry Krozier (Miller Group) and Dr. Evan Stone. Will be sadly missed by neighbours Jim Thornton and Bonnie Fenn, Tami and Cory Crate, Bob and Gail Firth, Mark and Tammy Wales, Christine and Aaron Bard, Norma and Dwain Graham, Murray Taylor, Mike and Louise Jackson, John and Audrey Schenk and Graham and Janet Mitchell. Will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all of Doug’s pals at the Donut Line. Missed dearly by pets, Casey and Millie. As per Doug’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held.
