It really is amazing the impact people have on young lives. Norma took care of me from the time I was six months old until I was about three. I can still remember all the rooms in her house, her little cat, picking and eating fresh veggies from her garden, and having pillow fights in her basement with the couch cushions. Most of all though, I remember warmth. The feeling of home and family. Norma was a wonderful Grandmother to me the first few years of my life, and I find myself thinking of her often, at the most random times: hanging clothes out on the line to dry, smelling fresh cucumber, and every time I see a vegetable garden. She helped make the first few years of my life happy and full and I will be forever grateful to her for that. My thoughts and prayers are with her family as they remember her and the wonderful life she led.
Thank you Nornie, for opening your heart and home to me. I'll remember you always xx
