Obituary of Derek Gregory Kitchen

Kitchen: Derek Gregory “Tubby” At his home Orillia, on Monday November 28th 2016. Known to Janet as a cherished and loved husband for 42 years. Known to Melissa as a loving and compassionate father who will be forever missed. Poppa to his pets Phinn and Merlin. Son of the late Donald Kitchen and Joan McInnis. Brother of Russell (Trudy) and brother in-law to Curtis, David and the late Terry and the late Pamela Lahay. Uncle to many nieces and nephews who will miss his fun teasing; and the “Rock” most would come to depend on. To our friends and neighbours thank you for the support over the last two years. Heartfelt thank you to the Paramedics and the Orillia OPP who attended to Derek on Monday. A Celebration of Derek’s Life will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home- 38 James Street E. Orillia on Saturday December 3rd, from 1 to 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Orillia OSPCA , Heart Function Clinic Orillia c/o Alzheimer Society, or the charity of your choice.
