Obituary of Brodie Thomson

Thomson, Brodie James Edward July 30, 1993 ~ January 9, 2017 As the result of a car accident, passed away at St. Michael’s Hospital, Toronto on Monday January 9th, 2017 at the age of 23. Brodie put up a brave fight. Beloved son of Judy and Jim Thomson. Much loved brother of Brett Thomson. Cherished grandson of Glen and Dianne Mawdsley, and Jack and Verna Thomson. Brodie will be dearly missed by his aunts, uncles, and cousins Stephen Mawdsley (Michele), Lynne Mawdsley (Darold Hack), David Mawdsley (Nela), John Thomson-predeceased, Doug Thomson (Dorothy), Leslie Hewitt (Murray). He will be sadly missed by his friends whom he loved to spend time with. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at St, Mike’s ICU. Rosanne Irving and Lori Forsythe for their support during this difficult time. Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E. Orillia on Thursday January 12th from 7-9 p.m. and at Hillside Bible chapel, 195 Atlantic Road Orillia on Friday January 13th from 12 noon until time of celebration of Brodie’s life at 2:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital (Pediatric/NIC Unit Renovation project).
