I am one of the members of the French interest group from the Orillia Public Library. Bernard had a significant impact on me being able to learn French. He was so compassionate, helpful, dedicated to help people like me and he was always approachable. He was always patient and so kind. He truly inspired me and will be missed very much. He was a wonderful person and I am so sad to see him go so soon.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Bernard, our beloved French teacher. He was enthusiastic in his role, always said "oui" to ideas we presented, and was pivotal in creating a happy social atmosphere for our little group. His energy was infectious; we often got together to see movies, go to the theatre, catch an improv show or grab a beer at the Brownstone.
What a loss for our community. Sincere condolences to the family.
