Obituary of Bernard Pierre Marie Poigny

Poigny, Bernard Pierre Marie

Passed away peacefully at the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital on Sunday May 7th, 2017 in his 69th year. Beloved father of Christophe Poigny, Christian (Audrey), and Isabelle (Arnaud). Much loved friend Marianne Cormack.  Grandfather of Themis, Prosper, Eliet, and Melvil. Beloved son of Brigitte and the late Jacque Poigny. Dear brother of Colette (late Bernard), Chantal, Benedicte (Bertrand), and Florence (Pierre). Bernard was a faithful volunteer at the Orillia Library teaching French. He will be lovingly remembered by his many family and friends from Canada and France. A memorial service will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St. E Orillia on Saturday May 13th, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (Oncology Unit).
