Obituary of Bob Fortier
FORTIER, ROBERT PRESTON "BOB"
1948 - 2022
Bob Fortier died peacefully on Friday, February 4th, 2022. Bob is loved and greatly missed by his daughter Morghan and her partner Brett Jubinville, son Drew and his wife Rachelle Lambden, and their mother, Beverly Fortier. Bob was the proud grandfather to Drew's three children, Delphine, Wyatt, and Arwyn. Bob was the beloved son of Harley and Ruth Fortier of Prescott and will be greatly missed by his sister Shelley Reindorf, her husband Fred, and Bob's niece Rachel. Bob dedicated his life to the pursuit of the arts. An exceptionally gifted illustrator, animator, and painter, Bob studied at the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) in Toronto. After working at Cinera and Nelvana’s commercial division, Bear Spots, Bob opened his studio The Animation House in 1983. As one of the leading and longest-standing animation studios of its time, The Animation House produced over 863 commercials in its 19 years of operation. Bob will be lovingly remembered by the many people in the Canadian animation industry who passed through the doors of The Animation House. A celebration of Bob's life will be held later this year.
