Obituary of George Munroe Metherel

Metherel, George Munroe Passed away suddenly at his home in Orillia on Tuesday February 22, 2022, at the age of 87. Loving father of John (Nancy), Jim, Joanne Walton (Bob), Frank, and Laurie Ann. Proud grandfather of Amanda, Tanya, Jessie, Samantha, Emily, Grace, and Dyllon; great grandfather of 5. Dear brother of Lloyd (Betty), Irene Rogers-Perry, Betty Elliott; predeceased by siblings Bernice McCrae, Allan, Don, Bernard, and Howard. George will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews family and friends. Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St. E. Orillia on Saturday March 5th, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Family interment will be held at Old Stone Church Cemetery, Beaverton in the spring.
