Obituary of Kathleen Anne Whittall

Whittall, Kathleen Anne Oct 6, 1951 – Aug 13, 2023 “Kathy” passed away peacefully with family at her side at Mariposa House Hospice in Severn on Sunday August 13th, 2023, at the age of 71. Beloved wife & best friend of Doug Whittall. Loving mother of Sandi Carter (Chris), Conni Prejza (Mike), Craig Worsley (Amy), Tracey Whittall-Bhangoo (Sanj) and Jason Whittall. Cherished grandmother of Corrine (Jason), Luke, Jaimee (Nick), Brad (Carleen), Alexis (Cole), Blayne, Savannah, Nolan, Eva, Nathaniel, Ainsley and Ethan. ‘Gramma Kit’ was overjoyed to meet her first great grandchild Ian. Dear sister of David Burk (Shirley), Debbie Timperley (Wayne), and Dana Burk (Maggie). Predeceased by former husband Steve Worsley, parents Bob and Kitty Burk, and sisters Lynne and Beth. She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews and many friends. Kathy cherished her family above all. She was strong willed, determined and had a witty sense of humour and was a friend to everyone. Watching her and Doug on the dance floor was pure magic – she was a loving partner and a creative artist. Earning her diploma as a Developmental Service Worker was a great personal achievement and she took great pride in all her children. A private family celebration of life will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mariposa House Hospice or Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital through the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E, Orillia (705 327 0221).
