Obituary of George William Scott

Scott, George William George W. Scott of Rugby ON (Scott Silo Construction) passed away at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Saturday January 20th, 2024. Son of Lloyd and Ivy Scott. Beloved husband of Brenda Scott (nee Wood) for 49 years. Loving father of Richard (Howard) and Michael (Charlotte). Cherished grandfather of Abby. Dear brother of Twyla Penley (Garry) and predeceased by Eric Scott (Joyce) and Myrle Strachan (Mel). George was a longtime member of the Forest Home United Church and long-time leader of the Rugby Boys. Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E. Orillia on Tuesday January 23rd , 2024 from 6-8 p.m., and on Wednesday January 24th, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. A reception will follow.
