I can't believe it. I've known Marty since 1976 when he worked with my brothers, John and Ron at Scarborough and Grant. Marty was a great guy. He'd visit our house in Acton many times and my Mom would always share her chocolate eclairs with him. He loved those eclairs. I would spend many hours at Marty and Irene's house in Acton working on/fixing his computer because he effed it up.
Marty and Irene were at my wedding to my wife, Lori and later, we would spent some great time together on their boat, "Company Time".
Marty, you were one the best. A character with a heart of gold who shot from the hip and said what he felt. We will miss you. Rest In Peace my friend. Harry, Lori, John Joseph and Michael Banks.

It's difficult and sad as we come to terms with the passing of Marty. Thoughts of what he meant to us as a father, grandfather and father-in-law will always remain deeply in our hearts.
As his son-in-law, I often benefited from his gestures of love and giving nature which he projected over and over on his daughter.
He probably wished that we didn't continue to try and heat our home with a fifty year old boiler, but he never complained and would always drop everything to come to our aid whether it was squeezing one more winter out of that old relic, or gas piping a new appliance into yet another renovation.
He was a loving grandfather and a good friend and I miss him already.
In conclusion, I wish to express my love, respect and condolences to the three extraordinary women closest to Marty's heart, Irene, Ginette and Michelle, your strength and courage is admirable.
Condolences to all of Marty's siblings and may you rest in peace Marty.

I am extremely sorry to hear of Marty’s passing. I have a lot of fond memories of him while growing up. He truly was like a second father to me, my other “Dad” you could say. I will forever cherish those childhood memories, and the bond I shared with him. He will always hold a special place in my heart.
Sending you all our deepest condolences, and all our love to our newest angel watching over us.❤️
