Obituary of Kenneth McKeown

McKeown, Kenneth Gordon Douglas May 13, 1943- December 15, 2013 Ken died unexpectedly at Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Orillia. He will be forever missed by his wife, Judith (née Corosky) and their daughters Andria Burnie (David), Kerry-Jane McKeown and their son Greg McKeown. Ken's grandchildren Katie, Alexander, Victoria, Evyn, Reed and Kaelyn will miss Gramps' big hugs and smiling face. Sister Sharon Lewis (Gene), Sister Jean Dwyer (Ron), Sister Isobel Posgate/deceased (Ken), and Brother Murray McKeown and Brother Ron McKeown/deceased. Brothers-in-law Kenny Corosky/deceased (Dianne), Wayne (Joanne), and Chris (Jane)... Ken valued his family most of all and will be lovingly remembered by the extended McKeown and Corosky families. After growing up in London Ontario, Ken's 40 year career with TD Bank took him and Judy all over Ontario including Gravenhurst, Orillia, Barrie, Kingston, Orangeville, Sudbury, Toronto and Ottawa. Ken's kindness and common sense approach was appreciated and cherished by everyone he met. He was a connoisseur of the good life, an avid golfer, outdoorsman, and sports fan. He loved spending time at the cottage and traveling the globe with Judy. Everyone could rely on Ken. He was very accepting. He had a great sense of humour, offered sage advice and was always patient. He was the best of us. A funeral mass will be held at 10am on Friday December 20th at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Orillia. A reception will follow in the church hall.
