de Groot, Bertha Hendrika (nee Kraan) Passed away peacefully at the Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Thursday, August 21st, 2014 in her 77th year. Beloved wife of Carl de Groot. Loving mother of Joanne Mazanik (Greg), Arlene Dilulio (Paul), Betty Ann de Groot (Musa Okoth), Audrey de Groot (Jim Mikol), and Carla Bennett (Phil). Dear Oma of Erika, Andrew, Sarah, Michael (Kelly), Laura, Julia, Anita, Corben, Kelsey, Kaitlyn, and Abbey. Proud great Oma of Mya. Dear sister of Martin (Hennie), Joanne Toonen (late Frank), Hank (Marie), Ann Vanlankveld (late Mike), John (Janet), Rita (late Ferg),Keith (Judy), Willy Wilbur (Lorne), Jane McCabe (Paul), and Joe (Debbie), and the late Arie. Bertha will be dearly missed by many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Friends may visit at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E. Orillia on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers 6:45 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 4993 Hwy 12 East Uptergrove on Wednesday August 27th, at 2:00 p.m. with prior visitation at the church from 12noon until 1:45p.m. Interment St. Columbkille Catholic Cemetery.
