Carl is my cousin. I remember when he was born and I did a happy dance all around my bedroom I was so excited! I have been living in Australia for 32 years now so we have not had very much contact over the years but I was always excited to hear the news that he was getting married or when the girls were born but I always thought there would be time to catch up and meet his family. I guess that is not to be but I really hope that sometime when I am home in Canada I can meet "his" girls. Renee please know that our prayers and thoughts are with you, the girls, Gwen and Warren at this most difficult time. God Bless! Marilyn

He is "gone ahead awhile", and would simply say;
If one should miss me, friends and all,
And ask if I am dead
Let no regretful tears be dim your eye, just smile
And say, that I've gone ahead awhile.

From my wonderful friend,Margo Remembering Carl I remember Carl as a cute little seven year old with a big grin and sparkly eyes who was eager to learn almost anything. We spent many a summers afternoon that year upgrading his reading skills so that grade two would be a wonderfully successful experience. Summers were spent swimming, barbequing picking corn and other vegetables to sell at their roadside stand. At night there was picking worms to go fishing. One night a very tired Carl forgot to empty his pants pockets.His Mom washed the pants. To her surprise she had very large inflated worms floating in her washing machine. What a way to freak out your Mom. When in middle school Carl and Warren spent two weeks at our house while Mom and Dad went to Florida.We had lots of fun as well as working on homework every night. High school was a big deal for all four kids. Carl was Diane's big brother and Laurie's mentor. He was there for Diane when bullies tried to intimidate her. He made sure she was safe at the field parties. Then he tutored me through a college statistics course.What a guy! All four kids graduated from University and started their adult life. Next came the weddings. Off to Hamilton we went to purchase the fabric for Rene's wedding dress. What a wonderful wedding it was. Carl was so proud of his beautiful bride. I'll never forget the house in Milton with the pink carpet. After many hours of hard work inside and out they had a beautiful home.Soon babies began to arrive. Carl loved his family. We often heard him say how great it was to have daughters as they could do anything any boy could do. Of course he was so right. The move to Orillia was perfect for Carl because all of his sport passions were now at his door step. We all have many wonderful memories of Carl. He will live in our hearts forever. Margo

Renee,Hailey,Shelby and Avery, I have known and been a friend of Carls for 25 yrs! Of these years I have many lasting memories - some happy, some sad, some good, some bad but of all I wouldn't change a single thing! To the girls I want to say that your dad was so very pround of you all and light up when he spoke of you which was often! I entend my deepest sympathies to you,Renee and hope that the strenght of your family and friends help you thru this time of great sadness. If is anything I can do no matter how big or small, know that I will be there in a heart beat, all you have to do is ask! In my thoughts and prayers, Leslie Epitaph of a Friend An honest man here lies at rest, The friend of man, the friend of truth, The friend of age, and guide of youth: Few hearts like his, with virtue warm'd, Few heads with knowledge so inform'd; If there's another world, he lives in bliss; If there is none, he made the best of this.

From a friend of Warren's; Billowing clouds part the night sky As angels gracefully descend through October's crisp night air Leaves of colour rustle in trees As they walk in silence among us Feather soft wings spread wide A loving embrace reaches out To a new soul awaiting the light In his journey they will guide him Wrapped in feather soft wings Through translucent rainbows Stars shimmering in the twilight Where the gates of heaven sing And welcome him home

Renee and girls, Gwen, Warren and family God looked around his Garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best. As the days come and go and the world moves on, I know you're still here, you'll never be gone. On the night the Angel came and took your hand, We cried as you left for an unknown land. But Heaven rejoiced as you came into sight, For your soul was a diamond, shining so bright! Very sorry to hear of Carl's passing. You are all in our thoughts during this time. I know it has been a long hard battle, but please take comfort in knowing Carl is resting in the arms of angels. All of our love Brad and Yvonne, Michael, Christine and Sheri.
