Obituary of Carl Williams

A devoted husband (Renee - nee Anderson) and father (Hayleigh, Shelby, Avery), a loving son (Gwen Williams of Grafton and the late Wilford Williams, son in law to Joyce Anderson of Burlington and the late Kenneth Anderson) brother (Warren Williams of Sunderland) and uncle (Wyatt Williams of Pickering), and a wonderful friend to those who were blessed to be a part of his life, Carl passed peacefully at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital in his 46th year. It has been said that all men die but not all men live, and Carl lived life to the fullest. An avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, boating and snowmobiling, Carl was a revered fisherman, and annual fishing trips with his daughters, brother and good friends were particularly treasured. Carl was also a racing enthusiast. Starting in the Street Stock class at Flamborough when he was 18, Carl brought the team up through the ranks and was currently participating in NASCAR's Canadian Tire Series as crew chief for Scannell Motor Sports. CCI Thermal was the beneficiary of Carl's leadership skills for almost 25 years, as he fulfilled the duties of Vice President and Plant Manager for both Orillia and Indiana's operations, winning the unconditional respect of his colleagues and being regarded as indisputably fair. Carl's heart proved to be the biggest part of him; throughout his life and up to his tragic battle. A fervent and talented cook, Carl opened his home to all and welcomed them to his table. Friends and family will forever hold in their own hearts the loyalty, friendship and unlimited generosity this incredible man unflaggingly offered. After a private family service, friends are welcome to a Celebration of Carl's life at Hawkridge Golf & Country Club, Orillia on Tuesday October 25th from 2pm to 5pm. Memorial donations to the Sharing Place Food Bank or Couchiching Conservancy would be appreciated by the family and will be received by the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St E, Orillia 705-327-0221.
