Judith, Steve & Val, Kate & Jeff (and the girls)
We just wanted to pass along our condolences to the whole family from ours. David will forever remain a subtle source of inspiration in my mind as he quietly worked at whatever project was before him, whether making maple syrup at the farm or setting to build a cottage to accommodate the entire Rapson clan. To me, he’s the guy who created the foundations (along with Judith to be sure) that helped bring and keep so many of us connected over the years — thank you Mr. Rapson, you will forever wander in my thoughts as I quietly toil away at building my own foundations in life.

Judy and Family,
Anne and I were saddened to read of David's passing in the Globe & Mail and we extend to all of you our sympathy.
The Rapson and Brock families first connected in the last 1930's in the little village of Kirkton where Mr. Rapson was the minister and my father worked for a small local phone company.
I can remember vividly the day Mrs. Rapson, David and Louise left by horse and sleigh to go to Exeter to catch the train to go to Dryden for the rest of the war while Mr. Rapson served as a Chaplain in the Canadian Army.
After the war, the Rapson family rejoined our family in the little village of Burgessville. They then moved on, but the connection with our family continued. Mr. Rapson married us in 1963, baptized both of our children and one of our grandchildren.
Your David was born on my mother's birthday, September 25 (in 1935 as I recall) and when my younger brother was born in June, 1947, he was named David after your David.
David's passing is a milestone in our lives given that we have known each other about seventy-five years.
Don and Sandy are on a holiday in Italy at the present time and we will ensure that they are told when they return to Canada.
With our kindest regards and deepest sympathy,
Bill Brock
