Obituary of David Alexander Rapson

Rapson: David Alexander At the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Friday March 11th, 2016 in his 81st year. David Rapson of Oro Medonte, much loved husband of Judith Diane Rapson (nee Stephens) of 53 years. Loving father of Stephen Rapson (Val) and Kate Rapson (Jeff Carson). Loving grandfather of Jessica, Samantha, Olivia and Nikki. Dear brother of Louise Rapson. Graduate of Univeristy of Western Ontario. Taught geography at Park Street Collegiate Institute for 28 years before retirement. Previously taught at Blind River High School for 3 years. Member of the Take A Veteran to Dinner. Long-time Member of St. Paul’s United Church Orillia. Founding member of Paso Por Paso., a charity for Education and Womens Microloans in Guatemala. A keen competitor in Cross-Country Equestrian events. David, an avid reader, also enjoyed making maple syrup and to his last day was still monitoring the maple sap run. A Service to Celebrate David’s life will be held at St. Paul’s United Church 62 Peter Street N. Orillia on Saturday March 26th, at 1 p.m. A reception and time of visitation will follow.
