Obituary of Thomas Allan Caldwell

CALDWELL, Thomas Allan- Passed away peacefully at Spencer House on Friday January 27, 2017 with family at his side, in his 94th year. Beloved husband of the late Sally Caldwell, of 56 years. Tom was a World War II veteran who flew in a Lancaster as a rear gunner for the Royal Canadian Air Force. Curling was a big part of Tom's life; as a life member of the Ontario Curling Association he represented Orillia in the 1961 Brier in Calgary. Loving father of Leslie Caldwell of Caledon and Tom Caldwell of Orillia. Proud grandfather of Bryn, Martin and Shelby Clarke and Craig Caldwell. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all staff at Spencer House. Friends and relatives are welcome to join the family for visitation at St. James Anglican Church, in the parlour, at 58 Peter St. N., L3V 1W6, Orillia, on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral services and a celebration of life will be held at St. James Anglican Church on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 1 pm. A reception will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 34, at 215 Mississauga St. E., Orillia following the service.
